Two college friends reunite for a double date, hoping a night out will mend the cracks in their relationships. One struggles with fading intimacy while the other with emotional immaturity. As the evening unfolds , silences speaks louder than words as they all search for clarity in the spaces between what’s shared and what’s suppressed.
A collaborative work between Eve, Lindsey, Angelina, and myself, created as my final short film at Muhlenberg College. While our roles were largely overlapped, my primary contributions were as director of photographer and editor.
From the beginning, I approach the visual language of the film as an essential narrative tool, it was a way to express the emotional subtexts that the characters themselves keep quiet.
Tension, distance, shared struggles, and unspoken desires between the characters are reflected in every shot through patterns and individual framing crafted for each character and their relationships
As an editor, I focused on capturing the silences, glances, and sighs - the quiet moments that speak volumes. Though the story is simple, its emotional undercurrent is deeply relatable, especially for those in their twenties still trying to make sense of love, connection, and themselves.
